signatureCapture don't let you change destination property

Team,

I was trying to change the default file name of the signatureCapture element using JavaScript and I'm getting a warning on the Log file with the following:

WARNING: Core CModRec::SetProperty SignatureCapture Plug-in failed to set the property: file with value: //Sign.bmp 666 2011-10-27 12:48:54

What I'm doing is:

signatureCapture.destination = 'file://\Sign.jpg';

The signatureSaveEvent is not firing neither. The way I'm trying to capture it is:

signatureCapture.signatureSaveEvent = 'fnSigCaptureComplete(%json)';

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Alex.

Hi Alex,

I'm replying on my phone, so unfortunately I can't test my answers but hopefully I won't need to :P !

The first thing I noticed is that JavaScript uses the backslash "\" as an escape character, so all backslashes need to be doubled.

The second thing to try is to wrap all URLs in:

"url('*****')"

and try adding "javascript:" to the beginning of JavaScript calls. I'm not totally sure if this is necessary, I won't be able to test it until I get in tomorrow morning (i'm on UK time). So the two calls become:

signatureCapture.destination = "url('file://\\Sign.jpg')";

signatureCapture.signatureSaveEvent = "url('javascript:fnSigCaptureComplete(%json)')";

I'll be able to confirm these tomorrow,

Regards,

Ben
