Hi Can any one me with the questions below from a customer? They are developing for the MC75A.
I have few questions for your technical contacts at Motorola: -

1.       What does FusionAPI provide above and beyond standard NDISUIO (“UIO1:”)?

a.       Is FusionAPI’s main purpose simply to provide access to the supplicant (ie. profile configuration etc)?

2.       There are a couple of commands which seem like just wrappers around standard NDIS OID’s.

a.       Specifically: NDIS_STAT_WLAN_SET_DATA and NDIS_STAT_WLAN_GET_DATA

                                                               i.      Why should we interact via Fusion for these calls?

We will always favour generic code as opposed to vendor specific code, but I found that I was just re-implementing a lot of code that we already have for NDISUIO and need some justification to keep at it with Fusion. Regards, Andy
