PMP 320 System Software release e2.2 is available

PMP Technical Support has posted PMP 320 Software Release e2.2 on the PMP website. http://motorola.wirelessbroadbandsupport.com/software/

 

The e2.2 system release contains the following components:

•        Access Point Version:  System_Release_e2.2

•        Subscriber Module Version:  f12b00-v8.0.0 

 

Release e2.2 supports the following:

 

·         Upper 3.65GHz Spectrum Support for North America customers (See page 5 for details.)

 

·         Access Point Web Management from below a registered CPE. (See page 7 for details.)

 

·         Support for the Universal GPS (UGPS). (See page 7 for details.)

 

·         Forward Multicast Packets on Multicast Channel Connection (MCC)  (See page 9 for details.)

 

·         Configurable syslog Hostname  (See page 9 for details.)

 

·         Frame Utilization Feature

 

·         CPE Reset Factory Default Tool Software is back  --- Full instructions on configuring a PC to use the tool and procedures outlining the reset method will be documented in the PMP 320 Administration and Configuration Guide.

 

 

Again, please see the Release Notes for more details. See section 1.2 for specific Access Point Hardware notification reminding you not to downgrade the software on the APs below e2.1.1. 

 

Finally, see section 3 for Known Open Issues with the e2.2 software release as you support customers in the field. (e.g. upgrading an AP with Extended Range enabled.)

 

 

 

Wireless Manager / CNUT

CNUT 3.20.15 or higher is recommended for upgrading modules.  Wireless Manager 3.0 support for System release e2.2 is in Service Pack 2.
