All, March 2012, I posted the original whilte paper with the same title for the successful data communication at http://devcentral.motorola.com/view/29126/view.aspx With more research, I found a registry key that shows the current radio network registration status. Together with GPRS connection status, signal level, and batter level knowledge, an pplication should further be able to avoid having the can't-connect failure during data communication. To demonstrate how to find the radio and battery status, I have created a sample application DataConStatus.exe using VS2008. Please read the updated while paper, and test the sample application on WM devices.
