There was Symbol Imaging Demos suite of small apps which was designed for DS6707. It should work with DS3407 as well. Attached is a short description. It's ~20 mb in size. I believe it can be found somewhere on devcentral or compass. Or let me know if you're unable to find it and I'll dig into my harddrive.
