I am taking requests for those that are interested in providing feedback on the BETA builds. We will be conducting BETA on MC75A0, MC75A6, MC75A8, MC9596, MC3190 and MC3190 CE6.  We expect the BETA software build to be available by the end of the week for WM6.5 and in two weeks for CE6.  At this time due to resource constraints, we are only planning to make available English builds; however requests for additional languages will be considered and prioritized. If you are interested in testing the BETA and providing feedback, please send me an email (DO NOT REPLY TO THE FORUM) with the product to be tested, the country in which it will be tested, the customer (or indicate yourself as the tester, if it will not go to a customer), how many units of that type the customer currently has deployed, and the WAN carrier used if a phone model.

Customer participation in the BETA program:  Current customers must be under an active support contract in order to qualify for participation in the BETA.  Determination of this qualification is the responsibility of the TA/Account Team.  In addition, customer's wishing to participate in the BETA must complete a BETA agreement (attached) BEFORE they are given the software.  Note you are permitted to demonstrate the BETA software to a customer without the completion of the agreement, but you may not give them the software, load the software onto the customer's units, or leave your device with the BETA software with the customer without completion of the BETA agreement.  Changes to the BETA agreement will not be accepted.
Please note that if you provide the build to a customer for BETA, you will be responsible for providing first line support and feeding back issues to the development team.  Tier1/2 and ECRT does not provide support for BETA programs. The software will be provided under conditions of BETA and must be removed from the devices once the production release is available.

MC3190 CE6 OS release has been pushed out to mid-March. The reason for this is that we need to validate the OS on the upcoming flash memory hardware change. The hardware samples with the new flash memory have been delayed over a month.  We can not release untill we know the new OS will be compatible with the new flash memory that would start shipping to customers in the approximate May timeframe. Until we officially release, the available BETA image is still available and representative of the final image.

Mid March *** Mid March *** Mid March Are we ready? BSP26.0001 or BSP26.0002? The field is urgently waiting for the new features and fixes!

I checked with Raghu and he informed me this - " We have provided the OS to TnV. We are awaiting Tnv confirmation / approval to commence the release process.
TnV is expected to be complete today or Monday.  Probably, Tom can provide the image to Accounts team while the Agile process is going on…"

MC75A and MC3190 releases should be posted to the web by the end of January. MC95xx release may be delayed due to a late change requested by the hardware team.

I've seen BSP 37 is now officialy released on support website with full release note. I think there is a mistake as MC75A0 WM6.5 BSP37 is referred "Professional", shouldn't it be classic? Another point worries me, the release note mentions BSP 23.11 as the previous version to upgrade from, BSP 23.20 is never mentioned. Tom, can you please clarify?

Hello, Thomas! You've said that Maintenance release of OS Win CE 6.0 for MC3190 should be posted to web by the end of January. But till this time i can't see this release (with russian locale support). In Beta version of this release i've seen russian locale. The newest release, i saw at support site, is v02.17.06. Can you, please, tell us when the final version of this maintenance release should be posted to web?

All the identified BETA builds are available now.  Please refer to original post for participation details.  I have updated the feature overview (attached).

Do we have a date for this maintenance release yet? The lack of regional settings for many countries in the current build is causing problems these days with all these stock take applications taking place that depend on the local regional standards for displaying quantities, date/time stamps and other information.

Thomas, I'd like to get MC3190 CE6 BETA OS to see if we have necessary level of Russian/Ukrainian language support. The quote " all locales from prior CE5 products included" scares me, since there was no Russian codepage support in CE5 as well. The proper way would be "all locales from prior WM5/6 products included".
