Good Afternoon,

My customer needs for us to be able to capture image data using the imager as the TC70 rear camera is blocked when the pistol grip is attached.  Does anyone know how I can capture image data from the imager on the TC70.  I am developing for an android TC70.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Dave,
you're out of luck on the TC70 because the Imager on this device is "HW decoded". This means that the image never leave the ScanEngine, you only get the processed data (maximum performance but you loose on some flexibility).

As an example, even SimulScan works only with the camera on the TC70, while it can works with the 2D imager of the TC75 and the TC55 2D (both of this devices have an Imager that is SW decoded).

Best regards
~Pietro

Thanks for the quick reply,

Assuming I can get a TC75/TC55 how does one get an image from the TC75/TC55 imager?  Is it as simple as using the android camera api or do I need make a call through the EMDK library?
