I am new to development of Android applications in the Enterprise space. I am currently developing on the Zebra MC40 Android Kit Kat platform, and looking guidance on how to deploy updates once the device is in the field. We will have many devices inside an Enterprise Intranet. Is there tool Zebra offers for facilitating in field updates?

If you're interested in solely managing app versions, then Zebra's AppGallery is a good way to go. Essentially, you can create a private version of App Store. More on AppGallery AppGallery | Mobile App Marketplace | Zebra
Should you require more features such as device settings configuration, remote control, diagnostic, etc..., you'll need an Enterprise ready MDM solution such as SOTI or AirWatch.
