API for Android smartphones to communicate with FX9600 reader

Hello,

So far I´ve been doing an app for PC through Zebra EMDK for Java to configure and get data from my FX9600 reader but now I want to go a step forward and make an android app to talk with the device.

My idea is to have an app in Android smartphone that configures, controls and gest data from FX9600 reader.
The communication channel would be wifi or bletooth.

Is there any Android API that can be used for general Android smartphones to talk with FX9600?

Thank you!

Would you please advise on how to pair FX9600 with an android device, ideally TC56 ? is there an Andoird SDK available ?

We've done this with the RFD8500, Android SDK available for the FX9600? Aim is to pair this with the TC56 series devices.
