I believe StageNow is calling the Android package manager APIs underneath so you should be able to test if the application is enabled via getApplicationInfo(), https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11538431/how-to-know-if-application-is-disabled-in-android-ics, though I haven't personally tested it.
