Join us for the next DEV { TALK } on May 18th at 10:00 CST.

Zebra engineers have developed reviewed & tested hundreds of apps and want to share the most compelling tips & tricks they have learned to streamline development of apps for the most satisfying customer experience.

This workshop will be helpful for anyone writing an app for Zebra Printers – whether you are new to Enterprise Printing and don’t know what ZPL means or you are an expert with years of experience. Topics include the core components of printing integration, the most common issues found in apps, our top recommendations, and of course, the sample code on how to implement them.

Register to learn how to be more productive in your development efforts and interact with our experts.

Zebra is thrilled to have two of our partners participating in the Xamarin Evolve 2016 event!

Stop by Pariveda’s booth to learn how a Fortune 100 Pharmaceutical Distributor increased revenue & inventory accuracy with Zebra and Xamarin. They are a top Xamarin Enterprise contract house and strong proponent of Zebra. Their booth is next to Zebra's booth, so we would both like to engage with you and talk about your interests in this emerging technology.

Eight Bot is leading a presentation – Why you should be building better mobile apps with reactive programming. Stop in the session and hear how Reactive Extensions can simplify your applications and benefit you when you are building mobile apps.

Looking forward to connecting with you!

Berlin, two days talking about mobile first and an explosion of ideas…

You can’t miss this, and you can bet that we’re not going to miss it!

Zebra will be at the event bringing our unique, enterprise driven view, spreading from our booth to the entire event with a talk about Industrial Mobility.

Who’s missing?

YOU!!!

Stop at our booth to say hello, tell us which application you’re working on and ask us questions, We’re going to bring our new hand cut stickers, fresh from the printers (and the scissor) – available until supplies last.

I spent last week in Turin with my colleague clovati, some amazing speakers and more than 750 developers at one of my favourite developer event, droidcon Italy!

Jeroen Mols has written a nice recap of the event that you can find on his website with a lot of details on the topics.

For Zebra Technologies we were presenting our mobile computers and printers with a huge interest.

Our TC8000 was doing a lot of noise and attracted the attention of the news, you can see a video of what was transmitted in north of Italy on prime time (in Italian).

We had other interviews from other news services and the key message for us was about the flexibility of Android and the importance to have security and full-control of the OS for our customers. The key tagline is always "We make Android not only User-Friendly, we make it IT-Friendly".

On Friday April 8th I've presented my talk, Android: It's Time to Go To Work!, slides are available on Speaker Deck.

As always droidcon Italy has been a blast.

Ciao from Pietro and Carlo.

Good Morning Developers!

We have an all-star group going to the Xamarin Evolve event this year. We are planning a great lineup of activities in the booth to open doors for revenue growth and opportunities in the Enterprise market.

We will have demonstrations of the new Zebra Development tools, the EMDK for Xamarin and the Link-OS SDK for Xamarin. These kits make it easy to create Enterprise apps and let you focus on your UI. The EMDK, or Enterprise Mobile Development Kit, has tools to help you set up your app in Enterprise Environments. It also has a library for efficient use of the imager or barcode scanner. The Link-OS Multiplatform SDK has libraries to help enable printing to Zebra printers from Android and iOS.

Show us your code! We will have a support area where we can work with you to help you create best in class Enterprise apps. We will have Zebra hardware on hand to try out and see why Enterprise devices are the best way to provide outstanding user experience.

Best of all is the team manning the booth!

  • Nader Newman: Product Manager for the EMDK for Xamarin. He can update you on future plans for this library and developer tools.

  • Dan Quagliana: Dan leads the Zebra Developer Outreach Program and the printer ISV Technical Program. His team supports the Zebra Developer Community, Dev Events like the Dev{Kitchens} and Dev{Talks}, ISV partners, as well as Validation and White Listing programs.

  • Bill Hecox: Developer Community Manager and Android Evangelist. He is responsible for the EMDK ( Enterprise Mobility Developer Kit ) Documentation and software development support via Zebra’s Developer Community. At Evolve, Bill will be showcasing the use of the EMDK for Xamarin on multiple Zebra Android devices and providing on-site development support.

  • And finally myself, Robin West: Solution Architect and Lead Developer for the Link-OS SDK for Xamarin project. I am ready to show examples of how you can add barcode and receipt printing to your cross-platform software solutions. I will be on hand to support you in your development efforts.

That's right, no Sales or Marketing, just people eager to help you create top Enterprise applications.

Register for the event

I will be presenting at Xamarin Evolve showing how you can deploy Cloud and Internet of Things solutions today. I will walk through several use cases of actual Zebra customers across several industries and describe the value of the solution & the tools needed to build it. I’m really excited to meet many of you face to face and connect with the Xamarin developer community, so please register for the event and come to my session!
