VisibilityIQ Device Disruptions

Device Disruptions
Improve Operational Productivity

Improve operational productivity by identifying mobile computers that are experiencing frequent reboots or applications freezing. Descriptive analytics of ANRs (Application Not Responding) and related applications, provide thread states (possibly reason) to help aid development team to debug issues. Reboots can be flagged as user or system generated reboots to identify cause of reboot. Through insight reports, easily identify, investigate, fix or replace poorly performing devices to maintain productivity.

Scoped Storage with Enterprise Applications

Submitted by Darryn Campbell on
6 MIN READ

In Android 10, Google introduced Scoped Storage as a security enhancement, severely limiting an application’s ability to access world readable / writeable file locations.  Application file storage is now sandboxed with only a few documented exceptions for media content and writing outside of the app’s sandbox requires the end user’s manual confirmation.

VisibilityIQ Storage Memory Utilization

Storage Memory Utilization
Reduce Mobile Computer Crashes

Full utilized memory is a common cause of application and device crashes. Identify average and maximum memory levels at the mobile computer or site levels.  Know the percentage of impacted devices with storage memory at capacity against active devices to make better operational decisions. Memory utilization percentage ranges:

  • Normal: less than 15% of devices impacted on the site
  • Warning: 15% - 24% of devices impacted on the site
  • Critical: 25% and above devices impacted on the site
