ES400 bug report

ES400:

Single page app.

Model pages as divs that are hidden and shown.

Some divs need the scanner to work.

Some don't.

If you use scanner.disable and scanner.enable on the various divs and then the user navigates between them reasonably quickly, rho crashes.

Darryn,I don't see anything

Darryn,

I don't see anything in the 1.0.1.3 release notes about changes to the

scanner code, so I am continuing to use

1.0.1.2

See demo attached.

Rho will crash if you hit reload a bunch (10) times in a row, or

enable\disable a bunch of times in a row, quickly.

This is easier to demonstrate (fewer clicks required) in a real app where

more work is happening between the steps.

That is, in my "real" app, I only have to reload once or twice.

Hi,

Can you provide a test script for the above scenario?  And what version of the framework are you using?

Thanks,

Darryn,

Here's an even easier way to break this.

Make a button like this:

And, if you do this instead

And, if you do this instead (note reversed order), the ES400 locks up tight

as a drum, requiring a reboot.

<a id='btnMain2' class="MainButton"href="" onclick="scanner.disable();

scanner.enable();return false;">Enable\Disable Scanner</a></p>

Hi,There were a number of

Hi,

There were a number of stability improvements to the scanner before 1.0.2.3.  I would suggest testing with that.

I have just run your test page with my latest version (due for release in a few weeks) and that has no issues.

Darryn,

You are right.

The newer version seems to have resolved the issue.

Thx,
