There is a note in the Help File: Device & Application/SIP:
Disabling the SIP
If you want to completely disable to the use of the SIP, set it to appear off the visible area of the screen (see example above). You can use a default meta tag to avoid pasting the tag on every page. Alternatively on the Enterprise Tablet, call the manual method.
To completely disable the use of the SIP it can be positioned off the visible area of the screen.(You should get dimensions of device)
The following example sets the SIP to manual:
Ive added this "<META HTTP-Equiv="SIP" Content="Left:640;Top:640">" to my <head> index page and the keyboard still shows up. Any way to disable it in the config file? What does this mean? "You can use a default meta tag to avoid pasting the tag on every page."
Sorry my email response seemed to lose the HTML inside it for some reason. If this is for the ET1, then the only choice is to use:
<META HTTP-Equiv="SIP" Content="Manual">
The Left/Top have no effect on the Android keyboard.
When the help file mentioned: "You can use a default meta tag to avoid pasting the tag on every page.", this means in the config.xml you can have a section like:
<MetaTag VALUE="SignatureCapture~left:30;top:130;height:100;bgcolor:#663300;width:200;border:visible;visibility:visible;" />
Thanks that fixed it
