    AsyncHttp and https using a self-signed SSL Certificate

    Dave Philips

      I have created a self-signed SSL certificate for testing purposes, and have applied this to a RESTful WCF service.

      I can access the service via https in my PC's browser (albeit with the warning screen asking if I want to proceed).

      But when I try and call it using AsyncHttp I instantly get an error returned.

      Below is the contents of the @params object that is passed to the callback function:

      {"rho_callback" => "1", "status" => "error", "error_code" => "1", "headers" => {"Content-Length" => "49", "Content-Type" => "application/json", "User-Agent" => "Mozilla-5.0(ANDROID; Win32; 2.3.3)"}, "body" => ""}

      If I generate a new RhoError from this error code I get "Could not establish network connection".

      I have tried this in the RhoSimulator and the Android Simulator (both against Android 2.3.3).

      If I just make the call via http then the call succeeds.

      Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks.
