RhoEv2 requires a new license key. If you have purchased software maintenance with RhoEv1 then the upgrade is free. The maintenance service gives you technical support entitlement so feel free to open a helpdesk ticket. They will guide you through the process.
unfortunately we had no maintenance purchased. How to get a new license? And what is the procedure for our customes, who had purchased RhoElements V1.x for round about 50 devices? We sold the devices 3 or 4 months ago.
The only cost effective method of getting RhoEv2 in this case is purchase the maintenace agreement for v1 and request an upgrade.
Purchasing the maintenance agreement for any software is a good practice so that all future fixes and enhancements are made available.
