9097 - VPN Security at 9600 baud? IDen speed.

The customer has a boatload of 9097s and suddenly wants to install VPN, et al, for security.  The available bandwidth is their concern.  Until now the radio has been idle.  Units are 18-24 months old.

If a mobile VPN client such as Netmotion is used, will there be any bandwidth left for commerce?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.  I don't want them sending 2,000 9097s to my house as a Christmas gift.

I had a customer using a MC50

I had a customer using a MC50 and modem, they used an IPSEC VPN client to connect to corporate.  They would establish the VPN tunnel send a 10 to 20 meg file.  It worked OK.
They had about 800 devices performing this function.

Have them try it on a couple of units.
