Looking at the DateTime feature for the BB7.x platform it looks like it only has partial support.
I couldn't find the official BB documentation on support HTML5 features for the BB7 platform but I was able to use HTML5Test.com and searched for the datetime type, here is the link.
Thanks for the reply.
I thought the rhodes framework was totally separate from the web view (HTML5), and so all Rhodes functions should work regardless of platform?
Or am I just getting the wrong end of the stick?
Just an update.
I've created a very simple test harness that just tries to parse a date using DateTime.strptime, Date.strptime and DateTime.parse.
All 3 of the above functions cause an exception to be thrown.
You'll see in the RhoMobile documentation it mentions use of strptime and parse on the Blackberry, stating that strptime should be used as it is faster.
I've tried on both BB6 (9800 simulator), and BB7 (9860 simulator), and it fails on both.
I've also attached a zip containing the project to this message.
I'd be interested to know if anyone can get this to work, otherwise it will be a bug report to Motorola.
