Ok, I got an update.
The problem seems to occur on the line: "process command: UI-CREATED".
The first time this attempts to go to http://127.0.0.1:[portnumber]/system/uicreated. Somehow this fails and after the timeout it tries again with going http://localhost:[portnumber]/system/uicreated and then it succeeds.
The best sollutions are mostly found, not knowing how you fixed it. As seems to be the case with this. It is not a great "fix" for it. But when we download and open Fiddler2 (http://www.fiddler2.com/) to monitor our network trafic and inspect our web requests, the request to http://127.0.0.1:[portnumber]/system/uicreated succeeds and the application is started in mere seconds.
Could anyone give us more insight in how we could fix this permanently without having to keep Fiddler open at all times?
We found the problem! (Not thanks to all the responses we got here tho...)
A proxy server was setup to 127.0.0.1 (without our knowing). Causing the application to load really slow. Proxy server turned off fixed it.
Bart - for clarification was that a Windows proxy server or something you installed yourself? Did it come that way 'out-of-the-box'?
This was the Windows proxy server that you can setup within your Internet options.
Open Internet Explorer. Open Extra's, go to Options. Open the tab Connections. From there click on LAN-settings. In there the checkbox for the "Use a proxy server for the LAN-network" option was turned on. I got my pc from our system management this way so I am unsure how this was set up. But with the checkbox turned off, everything works smooth and fast again.
Bart - Thanks for sharing your findings. Hopefully this will be helpful for others.
