How is possible to quickly identify if a ruby gem can be used in Rhodes?

Usually, when I want to use a ruby gem in a Rhodes application, I start checking that there's no native code.

If the gem is just done in Ruby I give it a try, and sometimes it works. On other time I simply spend two hour of my time learning things... that may be useful someday...

There's an easy way to understand if a ruby gem can works in Rhodes?

The documentation site has a list of supported core libraries and explain that the ruby VM is tested with the Rubinius specs...

      http://docs.rhomobile.com/rhodes/extensions#ruby-extensions

But how I can understand if the, for example, rest-client gem (http://rubygems.org/gems/rest-client) can works in a rhodes project?

      thanks
