Hi, I'm afraid not - the Zebra APIs will only function on Zebra devices (since we have not mocked the physical hardware on which the APIs depend).

You can develop all but Zebra specific functionality (e.g. scanning) in the standard emulator and then move to a real device for the data capture portion of your app.

If you do not have a device there are a number of options, in the first instance it would probably be best to speak to your partner or representative

thanks very much darryn:

i'll  stick with the standard emulator for now to get my arms around the general functionality provided by the EMDK, that will keep me busy and give me enough to get going:)

thanks again

TC70x Emulator Skin

I understand that hardware emulation is not available. Is there a TC70x emulator SKIN available(https://developer.android.com/studio/run/managing-avds#skins)? We frequently are working with emulators in development and a hardware skin for the TC70X would make for better screenshots and a better overall experience working with the device. Here is the android documentation on what i mean: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/managing-avds#skins
