Can you try using "
" on actual device instead ?
UUID access is not allowed starting with iOS 6. Technically, it's use has been banned for some time, but Apple has been rather liberal in applying their App Store acceptance criteria. With 6.0 they have put their foot down.
So, no, this is not going to be any different on device than on a simulator. It's been removed from the public APIs.
I doubt this will be fixed in Rhodes until 4.0.
You can always just patch Rhodes yourself to use UIFV. It's not quite the same, and may not suit your requirements. Bottom line is, you cannot get an identifier that will let you share IDs across different vendor's apps, and Apple will kick your app out of the app store if they find you are using some substitute to achieve the same result. In other words, depending on your requirement, it may not be possible to satisfy your requirement on iOS, at least for App Store apps.
I am able to get the device id in IOS 5. But if i use APN for sending a notification, its throwing an exception. Are there any dependencies for APN that needs to be included. please advise. I am still having the issue.
Thanks in advance
