We develop a new application with .NET Compact Framework 3.5. We like to use MSMQ as SOA service to exchange data between device and server.
I have a MC919Z-EU device with Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 (on base of Windows Mobile 6.5). It does not come out-of-the-box with MSMQ installed (sadly).
I've installed the MSMQ.arm.cab provided by Microsoft but it's not working. I have to call "ActivateDevice" in code as a workaround.
Is there any Support from Motorola for this? Would Motorola provide an installable (and signed) CAB file?
Unfortunately we don't currently have a support contract, so I may not download any software. I have to wait for my colleague or our distributor to gain access.
Motorola is *very* restrictive here. It's impossible to get a software update for a $2,500 device (that I'm holding in my hands) without paying another fee for a support contract - nearly unbelievable.
Thanks for any advice!
