Hi, Is there a way to force the VC5090 and MC9100 to connect using the 802.11a radio first before 802.11b/g. Also do the the radio's in these devices produce probe request sumutaniously or one at a time - ie. compatable with Cisco Band Select? Regards Minh

Thanks for your reply John. Unfortunately we do not have control over the infrastructure, hence the question of this can be done one the device. We believe there are legacy devices still using the B/G radio. Is there prehaps a registry key in Fusion that could make this happen? There is apparently a feature in WiNG5 that can make this happen, any idea how this works compared to Cisco Band select. As I understand this won't work of probe requests from both radios are greatly delayed.

No there is no reg setting.  Can you move them to 802.11A, uncheck b/g which would force them to only probe on 5G?

You can set your infrastructure to ignore b/g probes. The device probes one network at a time.
