we used for years autoimport DataWedge profiles. 

In Android 11 (TC78), due to new restrictions, it is not possible to write to the /enterprise folder, even if we are targeting an older android.

Although the latest DataWedge documentation still mentions an example of how we can import a profile into the "/enterprise/device/settings/datawedge/autoimport", this is no longer functional.

So where should we upload the DataWedge profile (unzipped from the resource application) so that DataWedge can import it without problems?

We don't use the DataWedge API yet, importing the entire profile has been enough for us so far.
