Can javascript's semi-experimental Web Bluetooth API - Web APIs | MDN (mozilla.org) be used to connect to a CoreScanner and receive scanned codes?

It seems like one could connect with the device via the api and then receive events from it as it scanned codes.

scanners does not support GATT .

for Java , you can use JavaPOS (JPOS) .  https://techdocs.zebra.com/dcs/scanners/jpos-driver/about/

Do you plan to upgrade firmware to support GATT into future? Do you plan new models that would support GATT?

Not to my knowledge. Supported BT com profiles are HID, SPP and SSI.
