Is it possible to convert PDFs on mobile to a format that can be printed without the PDF Direct?

While PDF Direct sounds nice, I fear that customers with existing printers will have trouble updating the firmware and would rather build the capability to have it act as a driver.

I know that on a normal computer, if I have a PDF, I can press Control+P and then print to a Zebra printer, and it just works. Is there a way to do something like this on mobile? Also, how did people send PDFs on mobile to Zebra label printers before the new PDF Direct was released?

Lastly, is there a way to update the firmware from a device that doesn't have the Zdownloader Windows tool? I am not sure all of our customers would even have a Windows computer to be able to use that.

The Zebra Print app is an Android Print Services based app and allows printing PDF directly from Android devices. Check out the Zebra Printer here.

You don't need the ZDownloader for the printer firmware update. You can pre-download the firmware on a mobile device (iOS or Android). Then use the Zebra Printer Setup app to send the firmware to the printer using the "Available Files" option on the app.

Old models will print with dedicated print service installed. Look for Zebra print service on github or youtube
