Hello,
I want to program with the Head-Up-Display HD4000. Unfortunately, the hardware isn't delivered yet. Since the ZebraHudService app can mirror the screen from the Hud to a device, I wanted to ask for testing purposes, if I can display the content just on the divice screen instead of the Hud display. Currently, I have the problem, that I can't open the ZebraHudService app or rather the app imidietly stops/crashes. I think the reason for this is the not plugged in Hud. Therefore, I can't broadcast any messages with the ZebraHudservice app.
Additionaly I wanted to know if I can just use an emulator or if a Zebra device is required to work with the HD4000.
Thank you

Hi,
We currently don't offer any emulators for the HD4000 - you would need the hardware in order to test your application.
Thanks,
James
As an HD4000 development support tip - that is correct - you do need the HD4000 connected for the System to work - there is no emulation you can provide to development tools to do this. (The Libraries / Development and end results - all depend on the HD4000 being available. )
Thank you James and Sean.
Then I'll need to wait a little bit.
Nevertheless, I would like to find out about the technical content of the device. Is there a documentation for the HD4000 available. I couldn't find any so far.
Thanks,
Lukas
The docs are included within the SDK download: https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads/mobile-computers/wearable…
