does anyone know of any way to provide network connectivity to an ET1 via a cable connection (Ethernet, USB-Ethernet, etc...). I have a customer who is interested in this to avoid the security issues that come with the WiFi connections. thanks, Afshin

There is a special OS build for the ET1 along with a sample application and config file that is required for this to work. I never tested it as I needed the MSR / 2D scanner which took my only USB port but they tell me it does work.
Some forums say that the Apple Ethernet to USB adapter works. Might try it for $20.
Portsmith is a Motorola partner that is supposed to have one that supports the ET1, it may however require an updated OS on the ET1.

I tried the portsmouth adapter...it did not work...I looked for a place to config the wired network and could not find it...I'm no expert on the ET1 or android..but its not plug and play
