Hi All:

I just bought a ZQ210 printer and manged to get it printing using ESC/POS. For some "reasons" I've to use ESC/POS and cannot use CPCL. Anyhow, everything is working fine, except for the fact that the default font is variable, and I need it to be monospaced. I tried all the ESC/POS font variants (A,B,C, etc...) but all of them seem to have variable width. Is there any way to force the default font to be monospaced?

Thanks in advance... regards,

Hi,

I've been advised that Fonts A & B are mono-spaced. Could you confirm your firmware version? We tested on V88.01.05

Thanks,

James

Thanks, James, but we have returned it weeks ago... we needed to get it working asap, and Zebra Spain tech support was unable to offer us a working solution (they seemed to not even know what a monospaced font is). Our dealer contacted directly to Zebra, but the responses were still making little sense, so they changed it for another similar one from another brand, which worked as expected out of the box.

I'm sorry to hear that, but thanks for letting us know.

Hi Jaime,

Would you be able to let us know which competitor device you ended up going with?

Thanks,

James

Yes, it was a Datecs DPP-350. We didn't need a 3-inch printer, but it was in stock and we needed it urgently.

I must add that we have an old Zebra ZQ110 and we are very pleased with it. It still works very well, and back then it was very easy to integrate it into our app using the old ZQ110 SDK. If it was still on sale, we would have purchased a few more.

Thank you,

I've passed all of this onto our Printer BU & we'll be posting some additional content to try & help other customers who run into the issue you faced here. We appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,

James
