All, I have a customer deploying MC75As to replace an aging estate of PDT6846s. They have decided to run TEAM Express on them to also replace their instore walkie talkies. However, I have a number of stores reporting that the MC75s are too quiet and they have to hold them right to their ears to hear anything. We have the volume turned up full but it is obviously not loud enough. Does anyone have any clever tricks to over clock the speaker / add additional gain etc that we could use? Thanks IJ

Ian, I have a customer using the MC95 that just upgraded to BSP 41 from BSP 27 and they are also reporting that the volume level is too low with BSP 41...even with the volume slider set to its highest level.  I was told by engineering that prior BSPs had the volume output set too high which could cause damage to the speaker.  I was also told there is no REG key we can apply to revert the volume level back to what BSP27/BSP37 used.  My customer will be reverting back to BSP 37 so they get the louder output.  They haven't had any speaker failures.  I think engineering may have been too aggressive with lowering the volume output on BSP41. Thanks, Ken

OEM version in use can explain some differences found on maximum volume settings. please indicate what is in use.
MC75A0 BSP 03.41.03 Audio Registry changes to have general/default audio settings and to prevent overriding of speaker.

Herbert, They are using 3.41.03 Is there anything we can do to improve the speaker volume? IJ
