Anyone have any tips for setting up dynamic printer proxy settings? I can only see an option to configure an IP address wildcard, however to deploy to 1500 different locations IP address wildcard is not going to work?

John; At present, there are no Settings Plug-Ins for Zebra, which means that it won't be possible to use Dynamic Settings to do Dynamic Provisioning for Zebra Printers. This is something that could be implemented, but we decided to wait to see how people ended up using Zebra before investing in such development. So, please file a GRIP if you think this is important. For now, the only Dynamic Deployment you can do on Zebra is by creating a Package for each custom file and then a Bundle for each Package. Then you can use one Policy or Action with a Variable Bundle Reference to select the right Bundle for the right Zebra Printer. I know that is not what you would prefer, but its the best we can do right now. Allan
John, The IP address range is only used for discovering printers. There is no way for the MSP Zebra proxy to find printers except to send a command to IP addresses and listen for an answer. The IP address range allows you to limit which IP addresses are used for this "polling". Once a printer is discovered, it starts "checking in", via the proxy, just like other devices and provisioning policies can be used just like other devices. Another difference, that Allan pointed out, is that there are no "standard" settings for WLAN, etc for Zebra printers. So it is necessary to build your own payload that performs the required action. Once the payload is created and packaged, MSP can deploy it to the selected printers.
