Scan barcode without input stroke

Hello,

Device: TC21 - Android 13

In the past we used a different brand, but now we got 4 TC21 machines.
We use a web based app in Chrome.

As we need to scan the barcode in our app, we can normally speed up and don't have to push the input field every time.
We can just scan.

With the Zebra device, I can not find how to get the right settings.
Tried a lot of different options.

Can someone please help me out?

Neither our supplier of the machines or the software knows how to get the right settings.
Both of them tell me to set the right Datawedge setting, but don't know which it is.

Thank you so much.

By default Datawedge will support barcode scanning into any app including Chrome i.e. if you set focus on an input field of a webpage and press the scan trigger the barcode data should appear. If it does not, run Datawedge, select Profile 0 and scroll down to the Keystroke output section. Find the 'inter character delay' field and increase the delay to 6ms or more - this will slow down the barcode data coming from Datawedge which is required for some web-based apps.

If you want to receive barcode data without focusing an input field, you will need to handle keyboard events from Javascript as detailed in the blog here: https://developer.zebra.com/blog/listening-keypress-events-datawedge
