Tunnel Server problems

My customer TS has been working fine until recently, they had to rebuild the server and the IP address changed. After this we could not get it to work. We decided to uninstall the PC agent + TS and start over. We deleted the old PC and TS from the MSP database. MSP discovered the new PC and TS okay but remote control is not working correctly. When you click on a device and select the RC link the IP address info is correct reflecting the changes , it says that "connectivity to the TS is available" but the UI does not show and after a short time it says "Disconnected. The Device". The customer IT assures me that nothing has changed with the firewall, we double checked that the ports TCP 7775-7779 are open. We took a few goes installing the PC agent before MSP discovered it. Is it possible that some residual config is left from the previous installation attempts? Is there some clean up program that could be run to completely clean the PC from any files/registry entries that may be left over.  Or if anyone has any suggestions what else could be going wrong? Seems like MSP can see the TS but the devices cannot see the TS. The devices have the new settings object with the new IP address for the TS. I will get a case open with tech support also.

What versions are you using?  I know the new versions use different default ports, just wanted to make sure devices are trying to communicate to the proper ports... For 2.2.0.2001 Default port for Tunnel Service from Workstation PC is 7778 (Old port is 7775) Default port for Tunnel Service from device is 7779 (Old port is 7776) Default port for MRCS is 7775

Rather than to specify the individual ports we asked the customer to open the range of  ports below in all directions. TCP 7775 - 7779 I may ask that the customer uses a fresh XP machine and we'll start again from scratch to install the PC agent and tunnel server. Something tells me that something has been left behind from the previous installation that might be stopping it from working properly.
