I have a customer who asked if WM6.x can be configured to prompt for an active directory password similar to the way a PC on that network is prompted for credentials when it is initally attached to the network. Has anyone had a similar request?

You can always write a login helper based on this sample from MS: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa912620.aspx It's actually LDAP oriented.
Marcus, It may be possible via domain enrollment (in the connections dialog); however, it will require an MDM enrollment server to create the AD account for the device. I was on this path for an end user; however, the pilot was usurped by other higher priorities at the time. This may be re-visited shortly. Not a solution, but a suggested path to investigate.
