We are using a Zebra RFD8500 with the latest RFD API SDK. I am trying to change the distance that the antenna sees tags. I am changing the transmit power for the antenna, and whether I set it to 270 (which is the default), or 1, the distance that I can see RFID tags is about 16 - 19 feet for both. I expected those settings to have very different distances.
I'm wondering if 1) I don't understand what that setting is for; or 2) there is some other setting I need to be using instead of or in addition to the transmit power.
