New in LGE OTA API 3.0 (July 2021)
- Smaller Updates on Android 11 devices
- Zebra has introduced smaller OS update packages for A11 devices. Zebra’s system will NOW deliver the minimal update content to the device; protecting the customer’s network bandwidth from being overwhelmed by large updates.
- AB Streaming
- Zebra’s LG OTA Delivery service will now stream updates to devices rather than downloading to local device storage. This minimizes the required local storage needed to perform an update
- The streaming feature is available on following OS
- All A11 devices (All Updates)
- All A10 device (for full Ota packages / Baseline only)
- Android Oreo PS20 BSP 1-30-04.00 LG Update 19 & above
- Please note that A9 OS does not support streaming.
- Option to Postpone update
The OTA delivery API now supports options to create deployments that include device user postponement. Integrating the postponement feature allows creation of deployments that introduce a postponement UI on the device
