General question: UUID: where does this value come from? My understanding is that it's like a combination of CPU+Board+wifi etc values to provide very granular device specificity. My understanding is that this value will change in the repair process... is this right? What then are the advantages of the UUID over the ESN, which doesn't change during repair? Why do we have a UUID value? If anyone could clear this up for me it would be helpful... if only in helping me sleep! Cheers, -JP
