GS1 is just the new name for the RSS codes (see attached for info) As a general rule, Motorola devices can decode GS1 (see attached) But most importantly, this is an MCD question....it will depend on how the MCD team have implemented the specific scan engine in the device, so the question becomes what is the engine in the MC1000, and what has the product team set the scanner defaults too.
GS1 is the name of the Organization. The GS1-128 barcode was also know as UCC / EAN 128 or EAN 128. The UCC is based on the Code 128 symbology. The MC1000 decodes Code 128 and I tested a UCC 128 barcode and it decodes fine. If using ScanSamp on the MC1000 make sure the symbology Code 128 is enabled.
