I was sitting at my desk working away dilligently and the MC75 next to me flashed.
Then a couple of minutes later it did it again, and then again and again...
Has anyone seen this before?
The timing is random but around 2.5 minutes give or take 20 seconds.
The device was off, but the only thing I can see when I cradled the device and once it booted was the backup battery was low.
I've attached a video of the event...

Strangely enough my manufacture date is 071126. This unit is an engineering sample, so I think we've got to the bottom of it if it's a known issue. Just surprised me when it "went off"...
Yes, there was a known issue in the early hardware builds of the MC75. This was corrected before the Rev. A release.
We have one exhibiting the same problem, which was/is in a low battery state. MFG date: 880101 Model: MC7596
The Patriot issue is a known problem in the early hardware and will be fixed in DVT2. As for the MC75, by any chance are these Beta units? Or are they Rev. A?
I don’t understand that date code. Isn’t there a something like MFD: 19MAY08?
I think you have pre Rev A hardware, in which case this was a known issue that was fixed.
What is the date code of your MC-75?
Are they also using DataWedge? We are seeing some flash related issues in Patriot alpha testing (probably different problem).
