Hi team When we set up RFS-6000 for Active:Standby failover, the configurations like Network > Wireless LAN, Network > Access Port Adoption Defaults, and other settings in standby switch are not automatically synchronized between the switches. Is this behavior by design? Do I have to manually ensure that settings on both switches are exactly the same? The other question is in Network > Wireless LANs > Global Settings > Manual Mapping of WLANS - any clue when do I use it? Thanks ken

Ken, To syncronise configurations (WLANs, Radio Profiles etc) you need to leverage the cluster-cli or cluster web-ui. Assuming your running a release that supports it, to enable the cluster web-ui select Services > Redundancy then check the option 'Enable Cluster Gui'. Once enabled you can apply WLAN and Radio configurations to all cluster members. To access the cluster-cli, from a telnet, ssh or console session issue the 'cluster-cli enable' command. All configuration and show commands will then be issued to all cluster members. To exit the cluster-cli issue the 'no cluster-cli enable' command. To answer your second question, when Manual Mapping of WLANs is disabled (default) the RF Switch will automatically map WLANs to the radio profiles. When this option is disabled you can specify which WLANs are mapped per radio by selecting Network > Access Port Radios > WLAN Assignment. Regards, Kevin
