I believe that some of the emulators can be used without Visual Studio.

Brief Description

This package includes localized Windows Mobile 6.1.4 emulator images that can be used with Visual Studio to test applications or as standalone emulators without Visual Studio.Richard LH

It looks like what you need first is Microsoft Device Emulator 3.0 -- Standalone Release  http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=a6f6adaf-12e3-… After that you can install the individual emulators (going back as far as PPC2003 if needed - they just need different command lines). Emulators are available for PPC2003 WM5.0 WM6.0 WM6.1 WM6.1.4 Remember that these emulators do NOT support any of the Symbol/Motorola code such as scanning, Fusion, etc. so care is needed with the executables you are trying to run on them. Certainly none of our EMDK examples will work. Very useful for generic testing though. Richard LH .

A full set of PC based emulators (not including Motorola scanning, Fusion, etc.) is available from Microosft for WM 5.0, 6.0, 6.1, 6.1.4. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A6F6ADAF-12E3-…

Richard, are there any versions that don't require Visual Studio to be installed.  Most US TA's don't have VS on our systems.
