A TA has a unit that was upgraded to WM6.1 and now is looking to downgrade to WM 5.0.
He downgraded his MC70 back to WM5.0 from 6.1 and the downgrade worked using the OEM 43.
However the device did not function the same and he had to send the unit in for RMA. He is looking to verify is there would be any hardware or software issues if the downgrade was successfully using OEM 43 for the 9090.
Do customers need to send a device in for repair to downgrade or is it a supported process for them to do it themselves?

This is not a use case that has been considered in the design. Since the upgrade to WM6.1 requires a customer to pay, we expect that the terminal will never be downgraded. Since the licensing is written to the device when the upgrade occurs, I would expect that the downgrade will conflict with the licensing and the terminal will not function correctly.
