Has anyone used fixed Attenuators on the AP300 (external antenna type)? and will this damage the radio output stage due to VSWR rating or 1.15.1 Can this be done with the AP300?

Hi Ian, Will installing 70 degrees patch antennas mounted to the ceiling facing down with lowest power setting help your unique sittuation? Mark
Ian,many thanks for the clarification. But -98,3 dBm is more than the normal noise at an airport.I assume that even with an attenuator at the AP, this will not help the customer. What about the MU? There is no way to implement an attenuator into the MU.If AP and MU are both Symbol, the MU may follow the AP output, which is 4 dBm (2,5mW) inthe minimum. If you are now using the MU near the door of the store, you will have for sure more than -98,3 dBm signallevel.Any idea for this problem?Regards,Angelo
Hi John, you may have a look here: http://www.hubersuhner.de/co-de-tk/de/ie60/products/hs-p-rf/hs-rf-compo… But why do you need a Attenuator?Best regards,Angelo
Angelo, Thanks for that, the reason we need attenuators is we have a requirement from a customer who has a small footprint store inside one of the UK airports. BAA own the airport and have proscribed that our customer cannot leak a signal higher than -98.3dbm outside of the store, so we are going to have to try to come up with something clever! IJ
