Slow data transmission via HID is caused by a WM6.1 OS setting. As WM6.1 is shipped on our devices the setting for Word Completion is enabled by default. With WM6.1 Word Completion is applied to any HID input so if you are using any form of HID input, scanner, keyboard, or USB input word completion is applied to the data input (regardless of the application you are sending the data to)  thus slowing transmission rate of data overtime.

Interestingly, on WM5.0 this setting is also on by default, however the word completion function does not effect data coming in via external HID (except into MS Office)
