Customer is looking for other external antenna's options to overcome poor wireless coverage in a outdoor ship\rec parking lot.  Typically they have anywhere from 600 to 1000 trailers parked, lot  is 900 x 1750'.  They performed a site survey before the yard was full of trailers. Thought I would ask to see what others are using for external antenna's?  Customer has tried the 3 and 5dbi mag mount antenna's from Arcadian. We suggested a few other options. 1. Implement wireless mesh in a few key spots in the yard. 2. Raise the external antenna on the yard truck for the VC5090 to the same height as the trailers which would allow for LOS back to the AP. 3. Use directional antenna's instead of Omni on the 6 AP's.
