5) Clarify Case #1959649 Our partner would like to verify one thing with us. It is regarding gwes.exe crashing when running customer's application. He is asking following: ===================== Very often the GWES.EXE crashes (Error message: A problem has occured with gwes.exe). This closes the customers application. I’ve read that the GWES crash is some kind of WM5 bug that is fixed in WM6 (see http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2007/01/10/who-is-gwes-and-w.... The problem is that when the Watson dump is created, it sees that GWES is at the top of the callstack, so GWES gets the place of honor in the Watson UI that you see in the screenshot above. We have fixed this for future versions of the system [edit: including WM6] - crashes inside a WndProc will show the correct process name in the "We're Sorry..." UI).. Can you confirm this? ===================== Could you please let me know if in WM6 the correct process is shown when a crash inside a WndProc occurs? Thanks, Petr
