The abup client version 5.85 was released with MSP 3.2.1. Sometimes, we may have to update the client and provide it before the next MSP server release to address specific problems found on devices. Frequently, we will just attach the updated client to the SPR as a fix to the problem reported by that SPR. However, unless that specific SPR fix is needed, there is no need to update the client on other devices. If you do need the fix, the abup package must be downloaded from the SPR. This is how there can be a couple different versions found in the field at a given time. We do, however, always recommend updating the client version associated with the latest MSP server release to take advantage of the bundle of fixes and possibly new features available in the server release. A notice is provided with each server release and the client can then be downloaded from the designated area in support central. The next client release will be available about the beginning of Oct.
