Maybe I am missing something obvious, but I cannot figure out how to use the MT2070 as a POS scanner as the presentations talk about. The USB interface is configured as USB HID and when plugging a USB cable directly into the scanner it is recognised as a Symbol scanner HID device, but the the scanner is not enabled. Also, when plugging the cradle in the workstation although recognising it as a Symbol USB scanner, is trying to instal it as new hardware but cannot find the drivers.

While MT2070 belongs to ADC product line essentially it's a mobile computer so something needs to be started on the MC2070 to init the scanner. There is Scan Item application available from the Navigator menu which will do this for you. It's documented in the UG. As for cradle and drivers - I've found out that pairing the scanner to the cradle and scanning USB HID parameter barcode helps in this situation. Regards, Valery
