The XR Series RFID Reader Guide states that the four TX ports can be used as TX/RX ports in "Single Port mode".
Is this true of the XR480 EU, is there a Hardware level that is required to support this feature?
The model we have here for testing is an RD11410.

The XR480 is capable of supporting 8 monostatic Tx/Rx ports. This means that all of the available ports on the reader can send and receive RF. The configuration for this can be found in table 3-4 of section 3-29 in the integrators guide. It is the same for the XR450, except the XR450 only supports 4 monostatic ports. The part number for the XR480 is RD11410-16118121ER
Single Port TX/RX Mode check

The Single Port TX/RX Mode check box allows the administrator to enable RF
transmit and receive on each antenna port.
For XR 480:
All 8 ports are enabled and each capable of doing transmit/receive.
